Duncan Christopher is the awkward son of a mega rock star. He believes his late father passed him the great rock torch, the holy dream, a grail of enormous import. In this he is correct, his father certainly passed something on, he called it music and magic. Duncan also believes he has the talent to follow in his father's footsteps and that will lead him to the path of rock greatness. In this he is very, very, very wrong. When it comes to music, Duncan Christopher is just not that good – although he holds many attributes of some of the best heroes of Dungeons and Dragons, which Duncan plays often. For twenty years, Duncan Christopher has stuffed inside his grief over his father's untimely suicide, his sister's lack of compassion, his mother's continued silence, and his cousin's over-estimation of his talent. Now on the karaoke stage at a fancy night-club in the awkward rock mecca, Tulsa, Oklahoma, it all spills out. Duncan Christopher must turn and face the awkward, even if that awkward is himself. Duncan's openness and vulnerability begin to reveal, little by little, a hidden magic - a magic that shows all that while Duncan is not that good, he's also really, really... not that bad.

Visually stunning, but it was silly and underdeveloped. I hate it when films are made with a huge budget (they admitted that they had more than a million for the project), yet they try to make it look cheap and hip. This is easily one of the most superficial films I have ever seen.
