Cinematic Translations of Shakespearean Tragedies: Romeo & Juliet
Liz Tabish
Categories: Oklahoma Film
Average Rating:

My Rating:
Run time: 5 min.
Based on Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet and shot in a classic film noir style, this short rendition unifies two familiar structures in an attempt to delve into the underlying layers of meaning within the play. Secrecy, murder, guilt-- these themes inherent in Romeo & Juliet manifest themselves in the back alleys and shadowy corners of the film noir.
